Olodum
Bloco Olodum was born in 1979, in Pelourinho. He became one of the greatest representatives of Bahian and Afro-Brazilian culture throughout the world. It gained worldwide expression when it was part of a clip by the singer Michael Jackson. However, in Brazil, it was already a tradition at Carnival.

Afro Block Ara Ketu
Block was founded in 1980 in Periperi. Their colors are: blue and white. Its most significant composer is the musician Carlinhos Brown.
