The nearest airport to Vila Velha is Vitória, 12 km from the city centre. There are several transport options available to reach the hotel, such as public transport, taxi, Uber or car rental.

If you are planning to stay for a few days in the city, we recommend Uber, but if you want to explore other destinations, such as Guarapari, it is better to rent a car.

Several transport companies connect Vitória and Vila Velha to other cities and the interior of Espírito Santo. The main road connection is the BR-101, which connects the state with Rio de Janeiro and southern Bahia.

However, it is possible to arrive by car from other points in the country.

Penha Convent

Convento da Penha is an important Marian shrine located on a mountain at 154 meters of altitude, with spectacular views of the region, including Vila Velha, Vitória and neighboring municipalities. Built in 1558, it is the oldest Marian sanctuary in Brazil and was listed as cultural heritage in 1943. In addition to the sanctuary, there are snack bars, souvenir shops and lookouts at the top of the mountain.

Third Bridge

The Third Bridge, also known as Deputado Darcy Castello de Mendonça, connects Vila Velha and Vitória and is the fifth longest bridge in Brazil, with a length of 3.33 km. From places like Convento da Penha and Morro do Moreno, it is possible to have the most spectacular views of the bridge.

Morro do Moreno is a mountain located near the center of Vila Velha and is 274 meters high. It is known for its gliding ramp, spring with mineral water, and natural lookouts. There are three climbing routes, offering spectacular views of Terceira Ponte and Praia da Costa. For those looking for a less challenging walk, the first lookout, known as Pedra da “Testa da Macaca”, already offers an incredible view after just 500m of uphill trail. To reach the highest point, it is necessary to travel 1000m of trail.
